Pre-requisites   If a student is registered on the Certificate programme, then successful progress on the Certificate Research Project (AMRC Industrial) will be required to upgrade to this module, and therefore the MSc programme.
Additional Information   Yes: only available to students studying MSc Res Advanced Manufacturing Technologies (part-time).

Description

The student will conduct an investigative study on an appropriate manufacturing topic, and will be based in the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) with Boeing. This project is part of a part-time Masters for industrially based candidates, and will thus be undertaken part-time over a 2-year period. Project topic areas will be industrially proposed, with students primarily supervised by AMRC technical staff. Each student will also be assigned a Department of Mechanical Engineering based second supervisor, who will provide additional guidance and supervision over the duration of the project.
